After graduating in May of 2022 I plan to pursue a career within the finance industry. More specifically I will be looking at roles within Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions. Moving on from Muhlenberg I am very confident with the academic foundation that I have been able to build over my four years. On par with the gaining of this knowledge I am also certain that the liberal arts education that Muhlenberg has provided me with and the intellectual curiosity that it has stimulated will serve me well as I continue my pursuit of learning within the world of finance.
In addition, to my time at Muhlenberg the work experience that I have completed over my four years has helped me to practice how I can apply different aspects of what I have learnt to better help my operating within the workplace. And although the difference between the classroom and a business are quite apparent upon entering the later I have come to understand how I can use similarities in my problem solving efforts.

This work experience has also helped me to realize that after graduating I would like to stay in the United States, rather than move back to Australia (my home). The reason for this is because of the opportunity that I see within the financial industry in America and how it is the capital of much of what happens in the financial world. As I move into the future however and secure a position within a company I hope to travel with my work or to move when I can. Holding American, English and Australian passports I look forward to and anticipate seizing any opportunity that presents itself.
In conclusion, as I reflect on my career plan I understand how things change and I believe that regardless of the direction that I am facing within the financial industry (or even any others) that I would be more than happy to take any job as long as I believed that it was giving me the opportunity to solve problems, learn valuable information and skills relevant to my career, and meaningfully contribute to the brand of the organizations.
